Meet the Midwives
Jessica Mills, APRN, CNM, Owner
Jessica has always been inspired by the strength of women and the miracle of birth. After finishing her Bachelors in Nursing over 15 years ago she went on to become an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner and complete her Masters in Nurse-Midwifery at Frontier Nursing University, the birthplace of nurse-midwifery in the United States and the #1 rated nurse midwifery program in the US, achieving the highest level of credentialing available to midwives. She is proud to serve women and families throughout Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts. Every growing family deserves to have someone there to guide and assist them in making educated choices about their pregnancy, and remind them that they can trust the strength of their bodies during this time. She strives to provide unbiased information and emotional support. Jessica is also a breech specialist and supports families both locally and out of state in vaginal breech birth. Jessica has been happily married to her high school sweetheart for 24+ years. Together they have 5 beautiful children and enjoy homesteading, homeschooling and fostering children in the community. They are active members of their local church and enjoy community outreach as well.

My philosophy as a midwife is simple: I believe in care that is centered around education, empowerment, and shared decision making. I believe that my role as a midwife is help guide you on your journey by providing the resources you need to make decisions about your care that you feel confident about. I don’t have an agenda for your birth. I believe that midwifery care is about providing knowledge, it is about dignity in health care and birth, and it is about supporting families through the stages of life.

Katherine S.
Katherine has always been interested in and passionate about reproductive health. Growing up, she found any books with midwives and pregnancy care fascinating, though these stories were always historical narratives or historical fiction. While completing her undergraduate degree at UNH she took a reproductive health class taught by a former nurse-midwife, where she was introduced to the world of modern midwifery care in the US.
Once she learned of the existence of modern midwives, she was hooked. She took a doula course in 2017, and enrolled at Birthwise Midwifery School in 2020 in the Certified Professional Midwifery program. In 2022, she transferred to and is currently a student at National College of Midwifery, in the Associates of Science in Midwifery Program. She plans to be a Certified Professional Midwife, serving Central and Northern NH. She enjoys reading, cooking, being outside as much as possible, and spending time with her partner Brian and their dog Porter.
